MISSION STATEMENT: The Foundation Emmanuel Sanon (Fondesa) is a (501)(c) non profit and charitable organization that provides activities to the youth in North America, the Caribbean, and Europe. The Foundation Emmanuel Sanon (Fondesa) was founded in 1998 in Haiti, and incorporated in the United States in 2000, No 1000002965. Since then, Fondesa has accepted the Challenge of relighting the lamp in the eye of our youth. Fondesa is an association, comprised of concerned individuals with the objectives of promoting cultural, social, educational, and athletic growth through sport. ABOUT THE PROGRAM: The Foundation Emmanuel Sanon (Fondesa), empowers young people to reach their potential by initiating and supporting community-based programs that promote health, education, and welfare. The Foundation values integrity, tenacity, courage, self esteem, and drive for excellence. The Foundation Emmanuel Sanon (Fondesa) is dedicated to helping using sport as a vehicule to reach out teens and family. The Foundation's activities promotes parental responsibility and involvement in the lives of children. Children need guidance and encouragement, to make dreams come true. OUR APPROACH: * Keep them off the streets * Prevent them from going into a life of crime and drugs * Build their self esteem through athletic programs and healthy competitions * Develop a safe environment around them * Identifying talent and developing potential players from an early age * Giving youth an alternative to anti-social activities and firing their imaginations * Providing mechanism for expanding youth education and discipline * Providing a model for community organization and mobilization * Making Haiti a force to contend with in international competitions * Attracting involvement of the private sector, and the international community through Sponrsorship and Donations * Creating a more favorable interactive social climate in Haiti * Developing leadership and management skills in local communities |
